The application of water-based wax lotion in leather production has two requirements for the appearance of leather products. One is to add leather luster, such as polished leather, patent leather, polishing effect leather, etc; Another approach is to avoid a glossy appearance, allowing the leather to have a genuine leather feel and natural beauty.

Application effect of water-based wax lotion in leather field

The water-based wax lotion can be divided into wet leather and dry leather according to the type of leather. The type of wax lotion used and the pursuit effect of each leather are also different.

1. Wet process leather: wax lotion is applied in wet process leather field, which can effectively reduce the adhesive relaxation effect of soft polyurethane resin, and can effectively improve the film-forming property of yellowing free PU resin. The low elasticity and surface smoothness effect of the wet leather porous layer (requiring an addition amount of more than 10%); The enlargement effect of wet leather porous layer requires an addition amount of more than 5%; Water based wax requires an addition amount of at least 15%. It is believed that using an addition amount of at least 15% can achieve a hardened texture.

2. Dry process leather: The application of polyethylene wax lotion in the field of dry process leather can prevent the curl phenomenon caused by the skin layer, and (more than 3% addition is required) can reduce the viscosity of PU in the skin layer. (Requires an addition amount of 1.5% or more).
